Review, critically analyse and develop artefacts to define processes for quality assurance, riskmanagement and communication in large software development projects.

OverviewThis assignment provides students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills developedduring the semester. Students work in small teams (3-4) for assignment 2, in which they complete aformal specification for a library system.Timelines and Expectations Percentage Value of Task: 20%Minimum Time Expectation: more than 10 hoursStudents will design, implement and test a specification for a system and answering questions relatingto the artifacts provided.Learning Outcomes AssessedThe following course learning outcomes are assessed by completing this assessment:Skills:S1. Critically analyse and use complex decision making to research and determine the appropriateSoftware Engineering tools and methodologies to utilize in a given situation.S2. Apply professional communication skills to support and manage the engineering of a large softwaresystem.S3. Review, critically analyse and develop artefacts to define processes for quality assurance, riskmanagement and communication in large software development projects.S4. Implement quality assurance activities in order to verify user requirements and validate designdecisions.Application of knowledge and skills:A1. Analysis of a large system development problem to decide upon the best methodological approach.A2. Development of appropriate artefacts to support and manage the software engineering process suchas change control and configuration management.CRICOS Provider No. 00103D ITECH7410 Assignment 2 – Group Page 2 of 3Assessment Details1. Students will need to develop schema that will model a library – containing only books – andbe able to perform the following tasks:• Add a book• Add a borrower• Delete a book• Delete a borrower• Lend a book to a borrower• Return a book from a borrower• Enquire about a book• Reserve a book• Enquire about a reservation• Cancel a reservation• Buy a Book• Receive a Book• Report of Books on Loan2. The schema must be consistent and be shown to work using examples3. Schema need to be annotated so that the Z statements are clearly expressed in plainlanguage4. Write three (3) non-trivial predicate statements about your system; explain them and showthat they are trueSubmissionSubmit your specification, via Moodle, as a Word document labelled in the following way:StudentID1_StudentID2 ? ? ? .docxAttach all files that are needed (the report plus up to 4 files) in order to mark this assignment by yourlecturer/tuto

Compare the differences of TCP and OSI protocols for wired and wireless LANs usingdiagrams.10. Explain why the square and circle shapes cells for cellular communications are notappropriate as compared to hexagonal shape cells.

Explain whether you would prefer using the mixed-methods methodology if you go on to conduct human services research one day. Why or why not?

Your textbook covers both quantitative and qualitative research designs in detail, both of which contain valuable design strategies. However, a third design strategy that can be very useful is the mixed-methods design, in which the researcher combines both the quantitative and qualitative techniques in a single study. In this assignment, you will review the mixed-methods approach to understand its application in human services. Tasks: Search the Argosy University online library resources and the Internet to learn more about the mixed-methods design strategy. In a minimum of 200 words, post your responses to the following: Share what you have learned about the mixed-methods strategy, including the strengths and weaknesses of this type of research design. Explain whether you would prefer using the mixed-methods methodology if you go on to conduct human services research one day. Why or why not? Now, using the Argosy University online library resources, locate a research study in which a mixed-methods design was used and address the following: How were the quantitative and qualitative techniques employed in the study? Why do you think the researcher chose a mixed-methods study over a complete quantitative or qualitative design? If you were the researcher, would you have also chosen to use the mixed-methods design? Why or why not?

Media Fragmentation.

Your readings in Week 1, in part, describe a common theme of “Media Fragmentation.”  Media fragmentation describes a trend to increasing choice and consumption of a range of media for consumers. These choices include more TV channels, radio stations, magazines, more websites. Media fragmentation implies increased difficulty in reaching target audiences.  Answer the following questions regarding media fragmentation. Thinking within the context of a fragmented media, answer the following questions: A) Does your list of “must have media” reflect your personal values? How? B) Do you feel that media’s targeting of specific groups for specific content has had adverse effects or our society? Positive effects? Explain and cite examples. C) Considering the concept of the Digital Divide as you read in this week’s readings, is it problematic that the internet is becoming driven by economic objectives? Explain your answer. D) After reading 21st Century Communication: A Reference Handbook: Chapter 62: Media Literacy, you read that “media education is a lifelong process.” Give examples of times that you have become enlightened about media, resulting in increased media literacy. Or, if you have no personal examples discuss what situations might force media literacy.           After studying the assigned reading The Handbook of Communication Science, Second Edition: Chapter 15: Mass Media Effects, considering one of the five categories of media effect theories mentioned in the article (learning, socialization, selective exposure, selective presentation, and perceived effects—remember, these are the categories, not the names of the theories themselves) identify one of the theories listed in the article and answer the following questions or prompts. A) Does media directly influence individuals? Explain your answer B) Which of the mass communication theories do you feel most accurately portrays your media experiences? Why? Be sure to provide an example that supports your opinion. C) How involved should the government be in protecting us from media effects? Where do you draw the line between free speech and indecency? Is censorship ever warranted? Make in text citations where necessary, and cite any outside sources that you use. Submit your response in the file submission area for this assignment. If you choose to “add a file” by attaching a MSWord or PDF document, please also copy and paste your response into the comments area.
