For this assignment you will be creating a social media plan to inform the public about a current health problem.

Next, choose a population health issue that is currently affecting your community or state, the United States, or has become a global health issue. Using the information from the toolkit, create a social media plan to inform the public of the health issue you chose. Be sure to:

  1. Describe your target audience.
  2. Choose at least 3 ways social media will be used to reach the target audience.
  3. Briefly describe the content that will be included for each of your 3 or more social media outlets.
  4. List at least one pro and one con for using social media to inform the public about the health issue you chose.

Health information systems used in public health are well known for their quality and breadth. More recently, “Big Data” has captured the attention of health care and public health professionals as a potential powerful source of data not yet fully explored.

This week, you will review a published study that uses secondary data drawn from a large data set. As you do so, remember that research design and methods are often chosen simultaneously, depending on the study population, the purpose of the study, the variables, and the time frame within which data on these variables are to be collected.
