Prevention Research Paper

Question description

Prevention Research Paper (50 points): This paper must focus on a topic identified during the course of the older adult interview. This paper should be shared with the older adult that was interviewed. Components must include the following: • Table of Contents including the following components: • Problem Statement: The purpose of this section is to clarify the issues surrounding the problem that is of interest to your interviewee. A minimum of 2 references from peer-reviewed professional journals. This section requires a minimum of 1 page. • Review of the Literature: The purpose is to report current research regarding your stated problem. It should include an analysis of the factors that contribute to the problem. Avoid the use of too many direct quotes. A minimum of 8 references from peer reviewed professional journals is required. This section requires a minimum of 2 pages. • Prevention and Resource Strategies: Strategies offered must be research supported with appropriate citations in the text of your paper. This is where your Web Resources can be used. Resources necessary to address the problem can be local, state or national. There should be a clear delineation between primary (education), secondary (interventions), and tertiary (treatment) prevention strategies. These strategies have been addressed in other community health classes. A minimum of three (3) web resources is required for this section. This section requires a minimum of 1 page. • Summary: This section should “put in a nutshell” what has been stated in the research literature, especially as it relates to your prevention and resource strategies. This section is a minimum of a half page. • Reference Page: Follow APA format. Submit in WORD and preferably .pdf format here under Module 3: Project 4.

Literature Searches

Discussion: Literature Searches

An important step in the EBP process is reviewing the current body of literature to better understand the subject or topic in which you are interested. By conducting a review of the literature, you are building foundational knowledge about the topic; later, you can use this background to build new insights. Developing a strong grasp of a topic can only be garnered by taking the time to thoroughly search for relevant information and resources.

For this Discussion, you will practice searching the literature to find evidence on a specific topic.

To prepare:

  • Choose a simple search term(s) relating to a topic of your PICOT question.
  • Review the information on the evidence hierarchy discussed in Chapter 2 of the course text, in the article, “Facilitating Access to Pre-Processed Research Evidence in Public Health,” and in the multimedia presentation “Hierarchy of Evidence Pyramid,” found in this week’s Learning Resources.
  • Review the information on the Walden Library’s website, “Levels of evidence.” Take a few minutes to explore the different types of databases available for each level of evidence and focus on the meaning of filtered and non-filtered resources.
  • Conduct a literature search in the Walden Library on your selected topic using the databases that you reviewed. Use at least one database for each of the three levels of filtered information and at least one unfiltered database. Record the number of hits that you find at each level of the hierarchy of evidence.
  • Select one article from the results at each level of the hierarchy. Compare the articles based on the quality and depth of information. What would be the value of each resource if you were determining an evidence-based practice?

BY DAY 3

Post a summary of your search. Describe what topic you selected, the search term(s) that you used, and the number of results found at each level of the hierarchy. Compare the types of information found in the articles from different levels and the value of the information from each level. Highlight a useful tip that you could share with your colleagues about conducting an effective literature search.

how borrowed theory can be applied to the identified problem

Question description

PURPOSE:

It is important to understand how borrowed theory can help you in your everyday environment as a nurse. In the previous assignment, you identified a practical problem that emerged from the evidence in the extant literature or professional practice, and you explored how middle-range theory could be applied to solve the problem. In this assignment, you will explore and apply borrowed theory to solve the specific problem that you identified previously, and you will synthesize the applications of the middle-range theory and the borrowed theory into the most appropriate solution to the problem.

DIRECTIONS:

Consider the problem that you described in the previous assignments and the instructor feedback about those assignments.

Write a paper (1,750 to 2,000 words) that describes how borrowed theory can be applied to the identified problem. The paper should include the following:

  1. A brief summary of the problem including the potential middle-range theory that could be applied.
  2. A description of a borrowed theory that could be applied to the problem. Is this borrowed theory appropriate to your identified problem?
  3. A brief history of the borrowed theory’s origins.
  4. A discussion of how the borrowed theory has been previously applied.
  5. A discussion of the application of the borrowed theory to the identified problem. How would your practice change by incorporating this theory?
  6. A discussion of how application of both the borrowed theory and the middle-range theory can be integrated to create the most appropriate solution to the identified problem.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

You are required to submit this assignment to Turnitin.

clinical provider shortage

Question description

Hi there are 3 parts to this assignment.

Hi the assignment is to make a short picot paper. (AN EXAMPLE IS ATTACHED). The topic in the example is clinical provider shortage.

I WORK IN MATERNITY UNIT SO MY TOPIC IS Do pregnant women who have elective labor inductions at term (39-41 weeks) have an increased risk of unplanned cesarean sections compared to those who go into spontaneous labor?” See attached ebp topic for clarification.

The whole thing must be oriented to nursing issues and solutions

THATS 1 ASSIGNMENT

NEXT PART

THIS PICOT AND THE FOLLOWING PARTS OF THE ASSIGNMENT IS PART OF A FINAL PAPER TO BE PREPARED BY END OF SEMESTER

SECOND PART—–

I WORK IN MATERNITY UNIT SO MY TOPIC IS Do pregnant women who have elective labor inductions at term (39-41 weeks) have an increased risk of unplanned cesarean sections compared to those who go into spontaneous labor?” See attached ebp topic for clarification.

I NEED 8 SCHOLARLY ARTICLE SOURCES should be current within the last 5 years and closely relate to the PICOT statement developed earlier. The articles may include quantitative research, descriptive analyses, longitudinal studies, or meta-analysis articles. —ONCE THESE 8 ARTICLES ARE ACQUIRED, USE THAT TO FILL IN THE ATTACHED LITERATURE EVALUATION TABLE, WHICH IS THE SECOND PART OF THIS ASSIGNMENT

NEXT PART—

PART THREE–

A literature review analyzes how current research supports the PICOT, as well as identifies what is known and what is not known in the evidence. Students will use the information from the earlier PICOT Statement Paper and Literature Evaluation Table assignments to develop a 750-1,000 word review that includes the following sections:

  1. Title page
  2. Introduction section
  3. A comparison of research questions
  4. A comparison of sample populations
  5. A comparison of the limitations of the study
  6. A conclusion section, incorporating recommendations for further research

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style

THATS IT. SO YOU WILL BE SUBMITTING 3 DOCUMENTS.

– PICOT PAPER LIKE IN THE ATTACHED EXAMPLE WITH MY TOPIC.

– FIND ARTICLES AND FILL ATTACHED LITERATURE EVALUATION TABLE

– LITERATURE REVIEW PAPER (AN EXAMPLE IS ATTACHED)

Oh, just a P.S. the articles you find is needed for my final paper. so please provide working links in the literature evaluation table.
