assignments MUST be typed, double-spaced, in APA style, and must be
written at graduate level English. The content, conciseness, and clarity
of your answers will be considered in the evaluation of your work.
Legal and ethical issues must be included when relevant. You must cite
your work according to APA format.

Your responses should be  1 ½ pages pages per question. The
entire assignment should be 8-9 pages total plus a title and reference
page

There are two parts to this assignment both utilizing a group
dreamwork approach.  Part I is to work with another person’s dream, and
Part II is to work with one of your dreams.

Directions:

OPTION I: You will work with one volunteer and use
either a humanistic dreamwork approach or a transpersonal dreamwork
approach for Part I and Part II.

Part I:
Select which approach you want to use.  Ask a volunteer to work with you
for a modified dream group experience.  The volunteer will provide a
dream he/she wishes to analyze, and you will be acting as a member of a
hypothetical group.

Your volunteer has the option of writing up his/her dream to give to
you, but it is not required.  You will provide the copy of the dream if
you receive one or write a short synopsis of the dream and include it as
an appendix.  Please refer to the APA manual for formatting appendices
as well as how to reference them in your paper.

Part II:
After completing the session with your volunteer, you will conduct a
second session.  For this session, you will be analyzing your dream.
You may work with the same person, or you can work with a different
person.  The individual will be part of the hypothetical group, and
he/she will help you analyze your dream.

In preparation for the session, you will write up your dream and
include it in your appendix.  Please refer to the APA manual for
formatting appendices as well as how to reference them in your paper.

Additionally, you will type up the group process for the approach you will be using so the person so has a guideline.

OPTION II: You will be working with at least three volunteers and use two different approaches for the assignment.

Part I:
Ask at least three volunteers to work with you for a modified dream
group experience.  One volunteer will provide a dream he/she wishes to
analyze.  You will act as the facilitator of the group and conduct a
short group dream work session using either the humanistic steps
provided in the text or the steps to conducting a transpersonal dream
group.

The session needs to be at least 30 minutes minimum; there is no
maximum, but please set a maximum time limit for your volunteers.

The volunteer who will be sharing his/her dream has the option of
writing up the dream to give to you and the other volunteer, but it is
not required.  You will provide the copy of the dream if you receive on
or write a short synopsis of the dream and include it as an appendix.
Please refer to the APA manual for formatting appendices as well as how
to reference them in your paper.

Part II:

You will act as the facilitator for the second volunteer group dream
session.  You will be using the other approach for this session; if you
used the humanistic approach for the first session, you would use the
transpersonal approach for the second session or vice versa.

Please conduct the session with a different volunteer.  He/she has
the option of writing out his/her dream, but it is not required.  You
will provide a copy of the dream if you receive one or write a short
synopsis of the dream to include in an appendix.  Please refer to the
APA manual for formatting appendices as well as how to reference them in
your paper.
